Privacy policy

1. Data controller

Prolink is operated by Webbdev Studio (“we”, “us”), which is the controller of your personal data.

2. What data we collect

  • Account details: name, email address and password (encrypted) when you register.
  • Profile details: bio, skills, hourly rate, profile picture, LinkedIn URL and website that you choose to add.
  • Company verification: organisation number, company name and F-tax (Swedish business tax registration) status if you ask to have your company verified. For a sole trader the organisation number is your personal identity number. It is never shown to other users and is only used to check the company against the Swedish Companies Registration Office and the Swedish Tax Agency; the profile shows only the company name.
  • References: if a freelancer asks you for a reference we process your email address to send the request. If you leave a review, your name, any company, your rating and your comment are shown on the freelancer’s profile. The email address is never shown.
  • Content: requests, service descriptions, quotes and chat messages you create on the platform.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and logs via Supabase and Vercel.

3. Why we process your data

  • To provide and improve the platform’s features (performance of a contract).
  • To send email notifications about requests, quotes and messages (legitimate interest). You choose which notifications you receive in your profile.
  • To comply with legal obligations under the GDPR and other applicable legislation.

4. Sharing with third parties

We share your data with the following subprocessors:

  • Supabase Inc. – database and authentication. The data is stored within the EU (Ireland); any transfer to the USA is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
  • Vercel Inc. – hosting of the website and visitor statistics without cookies (USA, standard contractual clauses).
  • Resend Inc. – sending email (USA, standard contractual clauses).
  • Google LLC – sign-in with a Google account, only if you choose it (USA, standard contractual clauses).
  • Anthropic PBC — machine translation. Listings and service descriptions are translated into the language you read the site in, and a chat message is only translated when the recipient asks for it or turns on automatic translation. Only the text itself is sent, never names or contact details (USA, standard contractual clauses).

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Retention period

Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, the data is removed within 30 days, except for data we are required by law to keep.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

  • Right of access – you can request a copy of your data.
  • Right to rectification – you can correct inaccurate data in your profile.
  • Right to erasure – you can ask us to delete your account and your data.
  • Right to data portability – you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to object – you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.

7. Cookies

We use necessary cookies for sign-in sessions (via Supabase) and a cookie that remembers the language you have chosen. We use no tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. In the event of material changes we will notify you by email or with a message on the platform.
